This is a rarity to find Winchesters with picture boxes any more. They just didn't survive. This rifle was made in1948.The box depicts a scene of a father and son in a forested area taking aim at a squirrel on a tree limb, both holding model 61 .22cal rifles. The colors of the box are red and blue. the original label on the end of the box has the model 61, the calibers you can shoot in this rifle and the serial number which matches the rifle. note that the box is a bit tatty at the corners and we carefully reinforced each corner from the inside of the box so as to not show the interior repairs. The rifle is excellent with 99%of the original blue. The stock has some very light handling marks. The box interior has the original cardboard separators .In the box is the original Model 61instruction pamphlet. This is a 1948 year of production rifle with picture box factory numbered to the rifle. A real rarity. Take good care of it!
