Pre-War Winchester Model 61 22 WRF Mfg. 1939

Description:
Selling rare and fine Pre-64 Winchester's from a friend's personal collection.  This is one of several that will be listed soon.

You are looking at an excellent condition, factory original, Pre-War, Winchester Model 61, Mfg. 1939, rare caliber 22 W.R.F., 24” octagon BBL, exceptional bore with a correct .217 bore diameter.


This Winchester Model 61 has a smooth top receiver, smooth trigger, grooved hammer catch, correct Winchester proof marks, checkered steel butt plate.


The rifle comes from the factory with a Winchester No. 75 front sight and Winchester No. 32B sporting rear sight.  It has a factory tapped rear tang featuring a Lyman No. 2 tang sight.


A “W” is stamped beneath the serial number on the guard assembly a unique feature for this rifle.


Stock set is in great condition, has the correct 17 groove (transition era) fore-end.  Bluing is fantastic on this rifle.
