Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered for 22 S, L or LR. Manufactured in 1932. This gun has all the early features such as; The checkered hammer catch, Smooth trigger, Ejector stop pin hole (pre-1936), No barrel crown (pre-1938). 1932-1935 patent pending first variation barrel stamp on barrel, Early factory tapped upper tang, First type flat bottom 11 groove walnut forearm that measures 6 - 1/2” with matching plain pistol grip stock having the early pre-War standard 13 - 1/2" length of pull and Checkered steel buttplate. Original sights include 32-B rear with optional Lyman 3W gold bead front. Near excellent condition overall with the barrel showing about 90% finish with light wear and handling marks. The bore is excellent, bright and shiny with decent rifling. The receiver shows about 95% finish with only very light wear and handling marks. The magazine tube shows about 60% finish with areas of flaking turned to a brown patina and some slide wear. The stock and forearm are solid and full fitting showing most original finish with some handling marks and scattered abrasions with light finish loss.
