RARE MODEL 61 IN LIMITED PRODUCTION .22 MAG. RIMFIRE CALIBER, #307XXX, MADE 1960. The .22 Mag. chambering was introduced in 1960, the year this one was made, before the whole Model 61 line was discontinued in 1963. Because of this, it is one of the most difficult Model 61 pump rifles to find. This excellent example shows nearly all the original blue with any wear spots too minor to describe. The walnut in the stock is of a little higher quality than standard grain and shows only the lightest of handling. Tight action, minty bright bore, matching numbers, no alterations, buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar and small blade/bead front sight along with factory grooved receiver top for scope mounting. Original Winchester embossed hard rubber butt plate. Not quite new condition, but not far off. A truly scarce limited production 66-year-old Winchester.
