FIRST YEAR 1932 WINCHESTER MODEL 62 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN 22 CALIBER
Description:
There were a total of 7643 rifles made in 1932, the first year of production. Rifle has the distinctive 23 inch tapered barrel, straight-grip walnut stock, and take-down capability. This rifle is a fine example with all the early features including the checkered hammer, smooth trigger and very scarce three line Winchester tang stamp indicating this gun was made using the Model 1890 receiver. The barrel and magazine tube retain most all of the blue finish. Bore is bright. The frame also has most of the blue with a few areas of flaking. Stock is in excellent condition with only minor handling mars. A great opportunity to have a rare first year model with all its original early parts.
