Offered here for sale and just acquired from a very prestigious collection is a very DESIRABLE and early Winchester pump .22 rifle. Serial number 178713 it is a Winchester Model 62 .22 pump rifle.  It was made circa 1946 with a 23" barrel. Takedown. Has nearly 100% finish (only some minor slide marks and a bit on top of receiver. Overall 99%++. This is a fine early collectible Winchester Model 62. This is NOT a Model 62A.
For the benefit of collectors the Model 62 was first produced in 1941 and started at about 116,401. Production paused during World War II and started up again  in 1946 around 158,646. The differences in the two models are as follows:
