Almost mint. This 1940 manufactured highly sought after little pump is a joy to behold. It retains about 95-96% of the original factory blue. The little loss that there is due to the expected movement of the action rod and the bolt on the receiver guide rails, and some slight edge silvering. There are also two small surface blemishes about the size of a small pea just forward of the rear sight. Other than that the gun is in awesome condition. It would be a super addition to a collection as there is very little evidence use anywhere.
The walnut forearm and retains about 75% of the original factory finish. The butt stock has substantially more finish, about 95-96% with just a very few light surface nicks. The original Winchester butt plate is not chipped or cracked nor are any of the gun's screws damaged in any way.
The elevator, feed ramp and bolt face show very little use. The bore is super bright with razor sharp rifling, and like the rest of the gun exhibit almost no use. A beauty for your collection or really fun in the field, just...... $1195.
