You want a classic circa 1956 semi automatic Winchester Model 63 that looks sharp but you can shoot to your hearts content. One of the most reliable .22 autos ever made that seems to feed just about every kind of ammo it is fed with flawless reliability and accuracy. Gun retains all the factory blue on the barrel and about 85-90% on the receiver with all the brilliant blue on both sides and a wonderful set of walnut stocks. But, alas, before the grooved receiver, this one was tapped and now sports a slide block where a fine vintage Lyman 422 and Weaver mounts. Yes, it kills this rifle as a collectible but has not hurt the looks and utility of such a fine rifle which should be a tack driver.
