This is an exceptional model 63 Winchester 22LR from 1950. This is rhe rifle version with the 23" barrel, as opposed to the 20" carbine that was standard in the first 2 years of production. The model 63 was manufactured from 1933-1959, and designed to shoot the 22LR Super Speed and Super X ammunition. These are considered one of the finest 22 auto-loading rifles ever built by anyone. The bore is in mint condition, and the barrel script, S/N, and proof marks are all as clear and crisp as day one. This is a take down rifle, so it has the S/N's stamped on both halves (which match), and it disassembles and reasembles easily. The original walnut stocks are in excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs, and show only light handling wear. This is a fine example of pre-64 Winchester quality, and getting near impossible to find in this condition. I would rate this this gun at 98% or better overall.
