Up for sale I have the rarest 22 caliber rifle that I have ever listed. This is a 1934 low serial number 63 carbine presentation rifle from the late Don "Duck" Combs collection. This rifle was ordered from Winchester and sent to Abercrombie and Fitch of Chicago ILL. This was a Presentation rifle presented to Lieutenant H.E Belsher by the employees of camp P-57-T C.C.C. Lufkin Texas on October 5th, 1934. In the pictures you will find where Don Combs wrote the National archives and Records Administration for information on Lieutenant Belsher. They confirmed that he was the commander in this camp in 1934 to which is the same year this rifle is made and verifies the package as a whole. I can't express how rare of a rifle that this is a and would be the centerpiece of any 22 or Winchester collection. Condition: The thing that Iam infatuated with in this little rifle is that it has FACTORY sling swivels which you never see on a 22 rifle. The rifle has been used but not abused with just light handling marks to the finish on the wood. The bluing is extremely nice for a carbine with only a little freckling on the left side of the reciever. This is a gun that I'm very excited to list and very proud to own but I'm gonna cry when it sells. You only get one chance to own a rifle like this. It comes out of a collection that it's been in for years then it goes right back into another one. This is the definition of a ln investment gun.
