Description: EARLY POST WORLD WAR II MODEL 64 STANDARD RIFLE IN .30WCF CALIBER, #1411XXX, MADE 1947. This is a fine example that has seen very limited use/handling. The receiver retains most of the original blue with only some edge and bottom wear. The barrel and short magazine show nearly all the blue with only some minor wear mainly at the muzzle and at the balance point behind the rear sight. Buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and hooded front sight (hood intact). All sharp markings. Fine deep blue on the upper tang and forend cap. Fitted with the correct super grade sling swivel stud on the forend cap and in the butt stock. Exc. stock and forend with the stock showing a little wood shrinkage at the top forward portion of the tang- minor and the stock does not appear to have been sanded. A little nicer than standard walnut. Correct checkered steel butt plate.Tight action, strong safety half-cock and exc. bore. A nice 78 year old Model 64 in .30WCF.
