Offered for your consideration is a Winchester Model 69A Target rifle in 22 Long Rifle. Features indicate it is post WWII & it's lack of scope mounting receiver dovetail grooves puts it's manufacturing date as 1947 to 1953. Overall condition is excellent with bluing wear only on the bolt knob & magazine. The rest of the bluing is pristine with no wear, scratches, pitting, or rust. Rear sight is the Lyman 57 with both target & hunting apertures. Front sight is the Lyman 17A with three sight inserts. Two inserts are steel, one post & one donut & one insert is a translucent orange plastic with hole. The wood stock is perfect with no dings, scratches, or cracks. Buttplate is pristine. Bore is bright, shiny & without pitting or rust. The only non-original features are the two quick-detach sling swivel studs. I've not seen another 69A configured exactly like this one, but my Father bought it when I was a toddler & gave it to me about 15 years ago before his death, so I know it is an original & not a put together. I have only shot enough rounds through it to sight it in & see how it shoots. It is extrememly accurate! If anyone has any information about this rifles model designation, other than 69A Target I would appreciate any knowledge you may have. My belief is that it is a fairly rare piece & in very collectible condition. Price is $750 OBO shipped to your FFL in a hard case.
