Winchester 69 Target made in 1936
Description:
Please note, this gun has sold on 10/12/2019:
For sale is a Winchester Model 69 Target. I would venture to say that this gun was made in 1936, because it has the narrow forearm and the takedown screw that protruds down below the stock line. In 1937 Winchester adapted the more fuller stock on the Model 69's. Overall the gun is completely original except for the two Lyman/Unertl scope blocks--and the sling swivels. However, the sling swivels look like Winchester swivels to me. And the job of fitting the front swivel was superb.
The sights are fully functional without a scope on the gun. This gun is very accurate: using good ammuntion and a 10X scope, it is common to fire 5 shots in a dime-sized hole at 50 yards. The gun contains the original clip with the "69" on it. The bluing is worn a bit on the bottom, but the barrel and action look good. Bore is good. Take a look at all the pictures.
Update: 8/12/2019--With either a Unertl Small Game Scope or a Lyman Jr. Targetspot, the scopes sight just high enough to clear the rear sight. This makes for a very versitle gun.
