Winchester Model 70,, caliber 270, Tasco scope & Pur. new 1993
Description:
This rifle was purchased new in February of 1993. It is a “Ranger” version with a 22 inch barrel and iron sights. (Iron sights are a great backup in case of scope failure on a hunting trip.) Winchester provided the sling studs and their rubber butt plate. I sighted it in and hunted with it less than ten times. The stock is “one piece American hardwood ... with protective satin finish.” It is in good condition expect for the slight blemish next to the front sling stud and a cut mark on the right side (see photos). Upon close examination under a bright light the finish does show the wear from several hunting trips. The metal finish is excellent except for a slight ding on the left side of the barrel (see photo). It could smooth out in 30 seconds with a Dremel Tool and touch up with a spot of cold blue. The scope is a Tasco World Class Plus 2.5x 10x 44mm. The carrying case is made by Red Head with canvas by Real Tree. All in all a great buy at $500.
Will ship to your F.F.L. dealer in lower 48 for $40.00. Postal m.o. the best but will accept other m.o’s. and personal checks. The latter must clear before I ship. SOLD
