Description:
Between 1968 and 1971 Winchester produced a Mannlicher style, full-length stocked version of the Model 70 with a 19” barrel. Production was limited to about 2,400 rifles, ½ of which were sold overseas where the style is more popular than in the USA. As a result, finding one of the Mannlicher Model 70's is very difficult today, over 50 years after the variation was discontinued. Stocks for these rifles were manufactured for Winchester by Reinhart Fajen, the widely known custom stock maker The rifle offered here is an original Model 70 Mannlicher in excellent condition. It features the full-length Monte Carlo stock, 19” barrel, and is chambered in .243 Winchester. The 243 chambering is especially scarce as the vast majority of these rifles were in .30-06. This rifle is in beautiful condition, free of any handling marks as both the stock and blued metal are unblemished. An exceptional rifle, you will have few opportunities to own this Model 70 variation, especially in this caliber and condition. I will ship UPS Ground well protected in a new hard case and fully insured, for $75, anywhere in the continental U.S. to a valid FFL holder. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii will be additional. I will accept payment by any of the major credit cards but will require an additional 3% added to the final total to cover the card processing fee. Please email with any questions, thanks for looking and
