***SOLD, shipped*** A very scarce collector grade 220 Swift standard rifle from the transition era, made even rarer by it's unique and seldom encountered stock details. S/N 85246 with matching scribed bolt made in 1948. One of only a relative handful that were built with the Pre War style clover leaf tang, yet a contoured pistol grip! I have only seen this on perhaps 1 out of several hundred or more guns from this brief production period. This observation was also noted in Rule's excellent reference book on p.147.
The condition is superb on both metal and wood, showing close to 99% original finishes over most, with the only detractor being some light burnishing on the receiver from a previously mounted scope base, as well as the same from a previously mounted receiver sight.
26" stainless steel barrel. Bore and mechanical functions are excellent. An outstanding example of a caliber and configuration you may never see again, all at a manageable price.
