Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 243 Featherweight Aluminum butt!
Description: Outstanding Winchester Model 70 featherweight in the versatile and somewhat scarce .243 caliber. These mid fifties guns with the nice wood, nice checkering, and aluminum buttplates can be tough to find, especially in 243. S/N 369*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. 99% Blue including fragile aluminum bottom metal and buttplate. Attractive stock with a bit of figure showing near 100% Varnish which may have had some attention over the years since I literally can not find a single mark anywhere beyond a slight chip at the buttplate union. The color, grain fill, sheen, sharp edges, and checkering all look great and appear original. 22" barrel with minty bore. Mechanical function is excellent. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
