Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 257 Roberts
Description: Excellent Pre 64 Winchester 70 in scarce .257 Roberts. S/N 172*** with matching bolt Mfg. 1950. 24" Barrel with excellent bore. This rifle is in outstanding condition inside and out, but has a couple of relatively minor originality quirks which have prompted a significantly reduced price from that of a completely unaltered rifle in this same condition. There are two #6 size holes drilled and plugged in top of barrel, presumably from a previously mounted scope block. Also, the bolt body has been jeweled, presumably for smooth operation, oil retention, or cosmetics. One of the few I was able to personally test fire, this rifle functioned perfectly and was accurate. This is an immaculate "shooter" grade rifle that you can still be proud of, offered at a great price for this somewhat low production caliber. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
