Description: Here's a great rifle for someone who's looking for a super nice 70 that they can still take out and use as intended without breaking the bank. It is in excellent shape throughout, but I have priced it as a shooter due to several discrepancies from original. The stock has been very nicely refinished along with the bottom metal. The bolt has also been engine turned or "jeweled". S/N 216*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1952. 24" Barrel with excellent bore. Mechanical function is perfect. 98% original Blue on barreled action with refinished bottom metal. The butt plate shows typical wear. 99% oil finished wood which from a practical standpoint, will prove to be far more durable than the original factory lacquer. A very classy shooter at a reasonable price that in my opinion surpasses any comparably priced rifle being produced today. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
