Description: Excellent example of the very rare African Super Grade .458 Win. Mag. Only 1226 ever made! S/N 381*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. All of the unique "African" features are present and correct including Deluxe stock and furniture with 2 factory placed cross bolts, jeweled action components, Super Grade stamped floorplate, Lyman 37FA front sight used only on this caliber/style, elaborate and precise rear sight, 25" rust blued barrel with front swivel mount, etc. 99% Blue. The wood has a few more moderate marks but nothing distracting and of course no cracks so will rate at 97%. The factory installed recoil pad is perfect and remains soft. The bore and mechanical function are flawless. A beautiful, unique, and super scarce rifle that does not come along too often.
