Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 FWT - Cal. .308 - 22" Bbl. - SN 422XXX (1957) - matching on bolt. Bore is absolutely perfect and near mint - bright with sharp rifling - excellent smooth action. Metal is excellent with no rust, pits, stains etc. and retains 99% blue overall - alloy buttplate is perfect with sharp checkering and no wear - alloy floorplate shows only light wear at the sharp edges - very faint mark on receiver top indicated may have had a scope mounted once. Wood is excellent and undamaged with sharp checkering and very attractive grain and retains 99% finish - shows only a couple of very minor surface marks from normal handling , mostly at the rear swivel. An exceptionally sharp and very attractive early M-70 FWT in all original condition and showing very good care and hardly any use at all.
