Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Rifle in .270 Winchester Mfd 1951 with Cerakote Finish Leupold Scope C&R Ok
Description: Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration. We offer you a “Cerakote Finish” Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Rifle Chambered in .270 Winchester that was made in 1951. This pre-64 model 70 wears a 24 inch barrel with an excellent bore and no issues. The stock is all original and has no modifications. It shows marks and finish wear with one crack as shown in the pictures. The checkering panels are in fine condition and it wears the factory butt plate. The serial number is 172946 which is also hand etched on the bolt. The left side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA / -WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-”, “WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK-“, “MODEL 70 – 270 WIN.” in front of the rear sight and at the rear with a “WP” proof in an oval. It is found again on the left of the receiver’s chamber ring in line with the other proof. The left side of the receiver is marked “WINCHESTER / -TRADE MARK-”. The right side of the receiver’s chamber ring is marked “172946”. The metal wears a low gloss black cerakote finish and looks very nice. There are some spots on the barrel that show pitting as pictured. It has a Leupold VARI-X II 2x-7x scope mounted on top. The optics are very fine inside and out with no issues and the scope is still covered by one of the best warranties in the market. If at any time your Leupold scope doesn’t perform, they will repair or replace it for free - whether you're the original owner or not. You don’t need proof of ownership or a warranty card, and there’s no time limit. This pre-64 model 70 is ready to hunt and will last the new owner a lifetime of hunting. SALE PENDING!
