Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade 220 Swift

Description:
***SOLD*** Very clean Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in scarce .220 Swift caliber.
S/N 139128 made in 1950 with the desirable early rifle lines and features such as solid bolt knob, integral front sight ramp, and oval pancake cheekpiece.
Outstanding original Blue showing 98% with no significant marks. The wood has also fared well, maintaining around 96% original finish, but taking on a few scattered use marks and dents over the years as shown in the close up photos. This Super Grade has a deluxe stock with nice dark wood, a contrasting forend tip, more complex wrap around checkering, and the previously mentioned and excellent profiled cheekpiece.
26" stainless steel barrel with a bore and throat that look virtually new. Perfect mechanics. Has the mandatory and correct factory issued Redfield gold bead front sight and robust detachable swivels.
A beautiful and coveted rifle in this caliber and configuration, that remains highly collectible yet can also be taken out and used proudly as intended.
