Very scarce rifle in a highly desirable caliber and configuration. This is a genuine Winchester 70 Super Grade in the wonderful 257 Roberts caliber with all original finishes and critical components.
S/N 295728 with matching scribed bolt made in 1954.
The overall condition is about 95% with very strong bluing showing minimal marks beyond a light scrape across the floorplate.
The wood finish is also unaltered and very good, with some scattered light to moderate scratches and mars as shown.
There are no structural cracks and the internals are practically like new with no routing or bedding of the barrel channel along with pristine metal components.
The 24" barrel has an excellent bore and all mechanical functions are smooth and correct.
Sight package consists of the correct Redfield 254 gold bead front and Marbles 69 folding rear. All other Super Grade components are present and correct including the robust detachable swivels.
A very solid and hard to find rifle that remains in collectible enough condition, but can still be taken out and used as intended.
