Pre '64 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in .300 H&H
Description:
Pre 1964 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in .300 H&H. Action is a transistion action, built right after WW II. This rifle has a Griffin and Howe Sidemount, and it is scoped with a Lyman Alaskan scope. I have another set of 26mm Griffin Rings with a 4x Kollmorgen Bear Cub, but that scope could easily be replaced with another scope if more magnification was desired. Original sight is in its' barrel dovetail, and the original front sight and hood are also in place. 26" Winchester Stainless Steel barrel (Yes, Winchester used some Stainless barrel long ago!) has a perfect bore and no discernible wear at the throat or the muzzle. Finish on all metal, and the stock is original. Stock has its' original buttplate, supergrade sling swivels, and cheek piece with the original low comb stock. Ebony forend tip, and hard rubber grip cap. Screws are nice, not marred, and I would rate the metal finish at about 95%, and there are several small handling marks present....very small nicks, etc. The stock has no cracks, and is a very nice, solid example, with some light scratches and handling marks.
