Description: Rare Winchester 70 Pre War Pre 64 "Transition" style .257 Roberts with clover leaf tang and clam shell safety. S/N 84xxx Mfg. 1948. 24" barrel with excellent bore. Nice looking rifle retaining about 96% original finishes. There is 1 extra hole drilled in rear bridge for scope base. There is a filler in place of rear sight. Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered have not been test fired but have been given a visual inspection only for sales purposes.
