Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 Transition 270

Description:
Excellent Winchester 70 "Transition" style in 270 W.C.F. Serial # is 75xxx made in 1947.
Bluing looks great with the slightest marks and the typical patina developing on steel butt plate, near 98%. Wood is equally nice with isolated very light scratches and rubs in outer surface only, 97%.
24" barrel with factory sights and excellent bore. Low comb stock. Most desirable "clam shell" safety and "clover leaf" tang. The transition style 70s were only made for 2-3 years and incorporate the very best features of both Pre and Post War models. Far and away the finest bolt rifle ever produced, this one is a beauty.
