Description: Pre War Winchester model 70 in .270 Caliber. S/N 43xxx Mfg. 1942. 24" barrel with good bore. 95-96% original Blue and Varnish. There are 2 non factory holes on rear receiver bridge for scope base. Equipped with a period Tilden saftey lever for scope clearance. Pre War .270s can be somewhat tough to find, and aside from the rear bridge holes noted, this is a very respectable example at a decent price. Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered have not been test fired but have been given a visual inspection only for sales purposes. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. Buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise.
