Description: Excellent Pre War Winchester 70 in highly popular 30-06 caliber. S/N 33*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1941. The overall condition is excellent with all original finishes, original components, and no alterations. The bluing remains very strong throughout with outstanding bottom metal. The wood is great as well, showing only average handling marks that one might expect from a used but very well cared for 80 year old rifle. There are no cracks, deep scrapes, or gouges. All mechanical functions are working properly and as smooth as silk. The 24" Barrel has an excellent bright bore. The rear bridge remains undrilled and all factory components are present and correct. Everything on this rifle fits together and works perfectly with no monkeying around or swapping of parts apparent.
