Description: Highly sought after and very difficult to find, here's an unaltered, undrilled and very collectible condition PRE WAR Model 70 in the venerable 30-06 caliber. S/N 36988 with matching scribed bolt made in 1941. Excellent condition throughout showing 96-97% original finishes with just a few scattered marks and impressions. 24" barrel with minty bore. All mechanical functions are butter smooth and crisp in typical pre war fashion. The rear receiver bridge remains correctly UNDRILLED. There are no non-factory holes on this rifle. Original sights include a Lyman 31W brass bead up front and a Winchester 22g rear with the proper 4 step elevator. The barrel channel is flawless with no routing or glass bedding present.
