Winchester 70 .30-06 Govt (W6594)

Description:

Winchester 70 .30-06 Govt caliber rifle. Pre-War Model 70 with very low serial #374. Presentation inscribed on the floorplate to Charles P. Skouras and dated Christmas 1938. Skouras was president of Fox Theaters in the 1940s and 50s. This gun was in a collection of 15 other guns belonging to Mr. Skouras. The collection was found in Beverly Hills where Skouras lived. He was listed in Time Magazine as the top paid executive in America in 1949. The rifle has a Zeiss scope on very old Redfield mount. The overall condition is very good.
