Description:
**VERY NICE** 100% ORIGINAL! Late 1959 mfg. Model 70 Featherweight in 243 Winchester. This rifle is not pristine, but in very good condition. 22" barrel. Bore is good. Bolt face shows some mild gas cutting indicating some warm loads thru it. Have test fired with factory ammo and casings appear fine. The wood, I would rate 97-98% showing only a few very light handling marks. The metal finish I would rate 95%+. The blue is off the face of the muzzle and a little bit on the sides at muzzle end. Otherwise, the barreled action is 97-98%. The bottom metal is good overall, showing a little thinning on floorplate and a little wear on edges of trigger guard. Bottom screws are pretty good showing slight tool marks. NO alterations to stock under barreled action. The factory Adjustable trigger has been adjusted a bit lighter in my estimation. Has a Redfield scope base on it. Overall , a quite nice , original Featherweight in a lesser seen caliber. $75.00 Shipping & Insurance to your FFL in the lower 47. NO CA Sales.
