left and has the impressed checkered pattern. According to " The Winchester Handbook " Authored by George
Madis, this rifle Serial # 58206 was the last Model 70 manufactured in 1942.
Upon inspection of barrel, receiver must have been held in storage until after WWll, barrel was stamped in "46". This is a nice Model 70 with some nice prominence.
Rifling excellent, receiver excellent, trigger guard & floor plate have blueing loss, barrel has some light
pitting, stock good condition. Buttplate is checked steel.
