**THIS GUN QUALIFIES FOR BUNDLE DISCOUNT PRICING !!
This Winchester M-70 .270WCF (Now just a .270 caliber), Pre '64, Serial number "78228" (1947), is perhaps a unique transtional both collectible and shooter catagory. It has the pre-war characteristics of a transitional safety, special lighter walnut stock w/unique border type carving w/an almost complete deluxe type wood carving around the pistol grip. This stock is in excellent condition w/a couple of light handling marks (One on the r-side oft stock by the buttpad and the other by the upper side near the top of the stock.) It also has the "Fish Tail Curved Monte Carlo Style buttstock. The wood carving is unique in that it's has distinct borders. It is at both ends and sides and deep and on the bottom of the "Beavertail type forearm" another transitional type feature. The lighter type walnut is also another possible feature. Stock is to me about 90-95%.
The gun metal is also excellent about 95-98 % w/some edge wear at the muzzle. Ther are no spots, corrossion or discoloration aon either the gun metal or woodstock. It also has a mirror bore w/a fine twist. The barrel is 25" w/a rear flip sight.
It comes with a vintage type scope ny "Lyman Gun Sight Co. - It's an "All Weather Challenger"# 5511 -propably a 2x6. It has a "Swing Type" mount by "Packmayer". Ther is also a nice leather cinch type sling in excellent condition.
