This Winchester M70 is a Featherweight, Cal .270, mfg abt 1958 w/a ser # of 438XXX. The bluing is about 93% and the Buttstock & Forend are 90-95% w/a an excellent scope. A Zeiss 3-9 x 36 (Very Clear) Davari - C, w/Matching Lens & Caps & Quick Dismount Levers & LNIB condition* (Should you desire another type scope please check out in my accessories the available other scopes & receive a credit towards one of your choice*).
Great carry gun for that longday hunt. These Featherweights
are to me an answer to making a long days hunt much less fatiqueable. The barrel measures 22 inches and is Shiney & Bright (See Pics) w/nice clear rifling. The chamber appears very clean.The bolt is numbered to the gun & also very clean (See Pics).
I would rate this Wichester M70 Featherweight as an "NRA" Very Good to Excellent. Althuough this "Featherweight" is over 60 years of age it has had excellent maintenance. I've not seen but very few of these Featherweights in this good of condition before. (Any & all current Law Enforcement, Military personnel, retired or not will receive a no charge transfer credit for any firearm purchase.Plus a 5% discount.)
