This Winchester M70 is a Featherweight, Cal .308 Win, mfg abt 1952 w/a ser # of 240XXX. The bluing is about 95% and the Buttstock & Forend are 95-97% w/a Bausch & Lomb Baltur "A" Reticle Scope (Very Clear). Great carry gun for that longday hunt. These Featherweights are to me an answer to making a long days hunt much less fatigueable. The barrel measures 22 inches and is Shiney & Bright (See Pics) w/nice clear rifling, it measures "0" (Excellent). The chamber appears very clean and overal. The bolt is numbered to the gun & also very clean (See Pics). There are some very faint handling marks - hard to see w/pics.
I would rate this Wichester M70 Featherweight as an "NRA" Very Fine to Excellent. I've not seen but very few of these Featherweights in this good of condition before.
