The rifle retains the classic early Model 70 profile and handling characteristics that made these rifles famous among hunters and collectors.

Overall the rifle presents well for its age. There is a very small crack in the stock at the top near the receiver that should be noted. Bore is shiny with good rifling.

Early Model 70 carbines are increasingly difficult to find and remain highly desirable among Winchester collectors.
