Winchester Model 70 Carbine (30-06) ***Pre-WW II***
Hal Hartley custom Winchester Model 70 (PreWar 30-06 carbine). Hartley was one of the great riflemakers of the middle of the last century. The floorplate, grip cap and trap Biesew buttplate are profusely relief engraved by Albin Obilschnig. There is also a great deal of gold wire inlays on the rifle. The rifle is stocked in a stunning piece of flame maple with a Fleur de Lis and ribbon pattern. Hartley had a technique which involved using a torch to accent the stripes in the maple. This is a stunning and rare rifle. There are gold initials on the trigger bow and has a correct period peep sight on the rifle as well. No extra holes have been drilled. 20" barrel. SN - 43712.
