Winchester Model 70 Featherweight pre-64. - 243 Win
Description:
Winchester Pre-64 M70 Featherweight 243 Win,
Description:
Acquired from an estate several years ago, the seller has decided to make room in his safe. Featured is a Winchester Pre-64 M70 Featherweight - in the ultra desireable 243 Win. and manufactured in 1957. This is one of my favorite calibers for whitetail. The rifle features the classic 24" Barrel, original sights with hooded front sight. Bluing is very good with minimal marks and wear even after 65 years. Bolt is jeweled and has a matching etched serial number, This rifle may have been restocked as the wood appears to be upgraded and markings on left and right of stock do not appear to be a standard factory feature. Checkering is very good to excellent. A classic "White Line" butt pad brings the overall LOP to approximately 13.75". A Balvar 5 scope ( 2.5x - 5x) made by Baush & Lomb is mounted on Talley 1' rings. The scope features the Tapered Cross-Hair typical of these scopes during this era and the glass remains clear.
This rifle is in Very Good to Excellent Condition with a shiny bore, very nice upgraded wood and all the nostalgia of both a collectible rifle and one ready to be taken to the field today. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a 1957 manufactured Model 70 without breaking the bank.
We ship firearms only to Licensed FFL's and do not ship to California, New York, Connecticut or Massachusetts.
Shipping is $45 and we accept payment via bank cashiers check or Venmo only.
