Description:
Here is a rare Winchester Model 70 pre 64 7mm carbine. This gun was used occasionally for hunting but never abused. This old rifle amongst other rifles was well taken care of with some signs of normal use. We no longer hunt or target shoot so we are selling this old girl. Bolt has serial number scribed on it which matches receiver.
The serial number date of this rifle is 1948. 78---. I was told to carefully remove the stock to see the date of the barrel. It shows 1946. The front sight is integral to the barrel and is not welded or soldered on. The barrel is a 20 inch Carbine.The wood stock shows normal usage and the Widow peak Butt plate shows the wood is proud and all original finish there is no glass betting all original unmolested.I beleive this rifle is in very good to excellent condition for being 76 plus years old.
