Description: This is a very sharp Winchester pre 64 Model 70, made in 1960, chambered in the 300 H&H. The rifle has seen very little use and the overall original finish remains in excellent condition. The 26" barrel has an excellent bright bore. The wood is nicer than average, showing some dark amber color and slight figure, looking almost like dark English walnut. The bolt is matching. The action works perfectly, trigger is crisp. Someone, probably decades ago added some glass bedding to the recoil lug and barrel channel - it is a very snug fit. The rifle shows some light use and handling marks, mostly on the bottom of the rifle, to the wood and and a few very minor marks in the metal. Overall this is a very nice looking, and very desireable Model 70. ***** I am a FFL, this must ship to your FFL for transfer, C&R license okay.
