Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 308 Winchester caliber, it's made in 1953, the second year of the Featherweight model 70's. The wood has been professionally restored and it has a White Line recoil pad with the LOP of 13-5/8's inches. The checkering has been expertly recut and the finish looks great, not undersanded and quite close to how it would have looked when new except for the recoil pad. The wood is in excellent condition now and does not have any cracks or chips.The steel parts are the original blued finish as it came from Winchester and it retains 98% of that finish. The trigger guard and floor plate have been refinished to 100%. It has the original front and rear sights but no front sight hood. The sling swivels are missing in the pictures but we just got an original set for it. The bore is in excellent condition, near new looking, The action works perfect and is very smooth with a tight lock up.
