*****Sold*****want to start by saying that this is, without a doubt the finest and most beautiful model 70 I have ever listed. This is a pre 64 model 70 chambered in the most sought after 22 Hornet caliber. This fine rifle was made in 1950 and has the most beautiful piece of wood on it that I have ever witnessed on a Winchester. This had to be a special ordered gun with a substantial upcharge to leave the factory with piece of wood like this on it. Another thing that just sends this rifle over the top is that it's 100% NIB. The brown paper tape on the box is still holding the top to the bottom and has never been cut. I also want to say that I have never listed a model 70 that still had the string in the box that they tied the box together with at the factory. Included in this package is the original sling swivels, sling, brochure, warranty card and hang tag. My humble opinion of the hang tag is I believe it is a reproduction but the rest of the package is 100% original. I'm telling you folks this is a true investment piece that will continue to climb in value and there will always be a strong market for this gun.
