Winchester pre 64 model 70 in 338 win mag. Built in 1960, this rifle is in excellent original condition. It retains 95% of the original blue and 98% of the original wood finish. This rifle has a standard steel buttplate which I know was not typical on the 338 rifles. I have taken this one out of the stock and I am convinced that the stock is original and was probably ordered with the steel butt. The bore is mint and shows no wear. The stock is sound with no cracks or damage. This is a fine solid rifle that would make a great addition to any collection and a fine big game rifle for elk,moose, bears, or African game.
