This is a Winchester pre-64 Model 70 barreled action that has been restocked with a checkered walnut classic style stock with a black wood fore end and metal grip cap. There is a chip in the fore end as shown in the close-up picture. It is a clean break that is square where the cap joins the walnut. The walnut portion of the stock is Excellent. The action is Very Good with a machined bolt and extractor. The 24 inch barrel is Good to Very Good with some wear and handling marks. Bottom metal is Good to Very Good. The factory folding rear sight is still present as is the front bead sight on a ramp. The hood for the front sight is missing. This rifle comes with a Bushnell 3-9X scope in 2 piece mounts. The scope and mounts will not be removed and the rifle repriced without them.
