Winchester Pre-'64 Model 70 Custom Rifle in .30-06
Description:
This is a Custom rifle based on a pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 in .30-06. The serial number on the barreled action dates to 1937. The action has been repaired on the left side where it was drilled and tapped for a side scope mount. The rifle is now equipped with 2 piece twist style bases and 1 inch rings. The original hooded bead front sight on a ramp is still present, but the rea leaf sight has been removed and the slot plugged. The barreled action has been reblued, the bolt jeweled, and a trigger shoe installed. The bottom metal is custom. Metal finish is Excellent. This rifle has been restocked with a Classic style stock in High Grade fine line checkered walnut with a checkered steel grip cap. A fitted checkered steel butt plate has been installed. Wood condition is Excellent
