This Winchester M70 is a Featherweight, Cal .270, mfg abt  1961 w/a ser # of 521XXX. The bluing is about 93% and the Buttstock & Forend are 90-95% w/a an Redfield scope, 2x 7x w/Nice Reticles (Crosshairs) & Very Clear w/a one screw Dismount (Excellent Condition).
Great carry gun for that longday hunt. These Featherweights
are to me an answer to making a long days hunt much less fatiqueable. The barrel  measures 22 inches and is Shiney & Bright (See Pics) w/nice clear rifling. The chamber appears very clean.The bolt is numbered to the gun & also very clean (See Pics). The bore is shiney w/good rifling & a distinct twist. The action is smooth & complete. The bolt is number to the firearm.
I would rate this Wichester M70 Featherweight as an "NRA" Very Good. This "Featherweight" is over 60 years of age it has had excellent maintenance.It
appears to me to have had an earlier wood restoration. There are no visible handling marks ,cracks or dings.
This might be a good choice for the "Ready to Hunt" person & entry level Winchester M-70 Collector. It also can
be purchased W/O the Scope, if desired.
