This Winchester M-70 Super Grade Cal .270 WCF was mfg in 1948 . The Reciever bluing is abt 95-98% (Original). The Barrel is 24 inches
w/a nice twist and shiney. It has the correct double flip rearsight and the Front Sight has the Brass Bar and is Hooded. The action is
smooth and tight. The Bolt is numbered to the Firearm. It appears to have been fired very little. The Trigger housing Bluing is Excellent
and the Floorplate has no edge wear and has the correct "- SUPER GRADE -" imprint.
The Buttstock is Excellent w/no dings, scratches or rubs. It looks to me to have possibly been an earlier restoration. However I see
no evidence of same. The checkering is all good w/a very faint marking on th R - Side (See Pic) but otherwise very good. The
forearm is excellent. It has the correct Grip Cap and Front Black edge to the forend.
This Winchester M-70 Super Grade is to me an excellent candidate for the mid rage M-70 collector, as these Super Grades are
becoming less available. I would rate htis one and an NRA Very Good to Excellent.
