FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION MODEL 71 LONG TANG DELUXE .348 WCF, #4XXX, MADE 1936. Great early example with bolt peep sight, checkered pistol grip and forend, Winchester embossed pistol grip cap and super grade sling swivel bases. Excellent condition inside and out showing about all the blue on the receiver, barrel and magazine. Only the forend cap shows a little flaking. Correct checkered steel butt plate. Even the upper tang and lever retain exc. deep factory blue. Exc. wood and checkering. Tight action, strong safety half-cock and bright exc. bore. Receiver screws look unturned. Hard to find 1st year production M-71 Deluxe rifles this nice.
