SALE PENDING WALT K NY 4/20/25
First...this is the nicest of the many 71 Deluxe rifles we've ever had or seen: it is completly original, there is no carry wear, there is almost no handling marks on the stock and those are very light and minor. The site hood is still in place it is just a terrific collectable example of what is a variation of the strongest lever action rifles ever produced. Spawned from the earlier model 86 chambered in cals up to 50 110 as we recall
In additon to quality of designe, superior strenght there are people who belive 71's (and 86's before them) to be the finest rifles ever made by Winchester. Before there were many high powered bolt action rifles in cals powerful enough to handle dangerous game this was the rifle of choice by Alaska Bear Guides and guessing but don't know this that some likley found their way to Africa.
Made between 1935 and 1958 this as a 1955 is a liter production gun made in the post WW11 Era when Winchesters quality and craftsmanship was very high.
Chambered in potent 348 Winchester (a very very few were made in 45-70)
